Japanese Opposition Criticizes PM over TPP Negotiations

Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- Japanese opposition parties criticized Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda's remark that he would attend negotiations for the conclusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).

The vice-president of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) in a news conference on November 11 said the prime minister should decide on his participation after making more explanations and deliberations and winning public understanding and support. In case he does not withdraw his remark, the LDP will present a no-confidence motion against the cabinet or censure against the prime minister to Diet, he warned.

On the same day, the representative of the Komeito Party said the prime minister could not flee from the blame for taking an irresponsible attitude.
