Minju Joson Hits at Moves of Japan, S. Korea for Triangular Military Alliance

Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- The naval force of Japan's "Self-Defense Forces" and the south Korean navy staged joint military exercises under the name of rescue operation to cope with disasters at sea on the waters off northern area of Tsushima on Nov. 12 and 13.

Minju Joson Thursday runs a bylined commentary in this regard.

It says:

Japan and south Korea intensify the military cooperation as the days go by. This is grave threat to the peace and security in Northeast Asia and unpardonable military provocation to the DPRK and its neighboring countries.

Japan and south Korea called the recent exercises "maritime rescue operation drill". This is nothing but a deceptive drama to cover up their criminal intention and relax vigilance of neighboring countries.

Their intensified cooperation in military field is mainly intended to form the triangular military alliance of the U.S., Japan and south Korea pursuant to the U.S. scenario and, on this basis, maintain and strengthen the military supremacy in the Asia-Pacific region.

Under the pretext of protecting its allies' security from "military threat" by someone, the U.S. strengthens its relations of military cooperation with Japan and south Korea while trying to establish the relations of military cooperation between Japan and south Korea. In this way it seeks to form the triangular military alliance and, on the basis of it, secure its military control and domination over the Asia-Pacific region as a whole.

The world is taking pains to prevent the tension of the Korean Peninsula from being escalated and relax it and create atmosphere for dialogue. However, the U.S. and its followers are getting frantic with the moves to form the triangular military alliance for aggression. This anachronistic deed is a grave challenge to the wishes of humankind for peace.

Not only the U.S. but also its followers will have to pay dearly for their anti-DPRK confrontation moves.
