Angola Demands End to U.S. Blockade of Cuba

Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Angola expects that U.S. President Barack Obama heed the demand from the international community and lift the blockade of Cuba, which has affected the lives of millions of people for almost 50 years, Angolan Ambassador to Havana Jose Cesar Augusto said on Wednesday.

Augusto described the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade as "a crime against humankind".

"All the actions by the Cuban people to consolidate their own sovereignty and welfare will always count on the Angolan government's infallible support," said Augusto.

Augusto described relations between Luanda and Havana as excellent, saying that they were forged in the hard times of our struggle to free ourselves from colonialism.
