Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- A national scientific and technological presentation and exhibition in the field of coating materials were held here Thursday and Friday under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea (GFSTK).

Presented there were at least 40 papers helpful to locally producing raw materials for the production of coating materials and improving their quality.

On display there were samples of coating materials presented by scores of units.

Highly appreciated were technology of producing synthetic iron oxide paints and methods of manufacturing inorganic paints for architectural decoration and full inorganic silicate-based coating material for their practical significance.

Also appreciated by the participants were the papers presented by Kim Il Sung University, Pyongyang University of Construction and Building-Materials Industry, the Pyongyang Paints Factory, the Pyongyang Building-Materials Factory and other units.
