Beijing, November 9 (KCNA) -- Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping called for giving full play to the excellent tradition of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Speaking at a round-table talk held in Beijing recently, he said it is important to carry forward the party's tradition in combination with socialist modernization.

In this way, the cause started by proletarian revolutionaries of elder generation and inherited by all the ethnic groups of the country should be developed steadily, he added.
