Iran to Take Legal Actions against U.S. Congressmen: FM

Tehran, November 9 (KCNA) -- Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said Sunday that Iran would "definitely" take legal actions against the U.S. congressmen who called for assassination of commanders of the Qods Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

The U.S. congressmen claimed that their call for assassinating top Iranian military commanders was made in retaliation for Iran's alleged involvement in a plot to assassin the Saudi ambassador to the U.S.

"The U.S. officials are so rude that they have officially raised the issue of assassinating Iran's military officials in their House of Representatives and Senate," said the foreign minister.

Salehi stressed that Tehran would "definitely follow up the issue through legal and diplomatic channels."
