U.S. Confrontational DPRK Policy Flayed

Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- U.S. Defense Secretary Panetta let loose a string of warlike remarks at a recent "annual security consultative meeting" in south Korea. He talked about "rounding off the joint operation program to cope with local provocation" from someone and "provision of deterrent including nuclear umbrella". A few days ago, he again said the U.S. would counter the "provocation by the north" as an ally of south Korea.

This development merits serious attention as it is a revelation of the U.S. unchanged policy for confrontation with the DPRK and its attempt at preemptive nuclear attack. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says this in a bylined commentary.

It goes on:

The U.S. and south Korea take turns to host the "annual security consultative meeting" every year in Washington and Seoul. This year's meeting was very dangerous in its aggressive and provocative nature.

The U.S. defense secretary flew into south Korea reeking of gun powder to hold a war confab with the south Korean puppet military authorities. This shows that the danger of a new war has gone beyond the limit. Impudent is that the head of the U.S. military described its reckless moves for aggression as legitimate ones to defend itself from "threat and provocation" by someone.

"Provocation" and "threat" are rhetoric often used by the aggressors.

It is an invariable strategic scenario of the U.S. to seize the whole of Korea and bolster military supremacy in Asia-Pacific.

During his stay in south Korea Panetta said the U.S. would never draw down its troops in south Korea but maintain those in Asia-Pacific. It is an anachronistic daydream for the U.S. to try to hurt the DPRK with nukes.

If the U.S. persists in the dangerous war moves, it will have to pay dearly for them.
