Beijing, November 5 (KCNA) -- Hong Lei, spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a press conference on Friday accused the U.S. of its protectionism.

The U.S. is mulling imposing customs on solar energy products exported by China. In this regard Hong said China's policy on developing solar energy industry is in line with regulations of the World Trade Organization.

He hoped that the U.S. side would honor its commitment to opposing protectionism and thus properly deal with trade dispute between both sides in a reasonable manner.
