Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Thai authorities confirmed that nearly 427 people have died as of Nov. 2 due to the floods from July, considered to be the worst registered in this country in 50 years.

The number of a total of the victims is over 2 million. The floods forced more than 150 000 to seek shelter in improvised reception centers in the capital. 1.6 million hectares of farmlands remain submerged. The government is taking various steps to erase the damage.
