Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- At least 5 000 people of different strata in south Korea, including workers, peasants, youth and students, held a rally for checking conclusion of the FTA with the U.S. in Youido, Seoul, on November 3.

The ralliers condemned the "Grand National Party" for its attempt to pass the "motion calling for ratification of FTA" at the full-dress meeting of the "National Assembly" that day.

The conclusion of the agreement will bring untold damage and, therefore, the people's protest is growing stronger day by day, they said.

They stressed the need to surely check the conclusion of the agreement which will leave the people's right to existence entirely to the foreign forces.

At the end of the rally the participants took a demonstration.

The demonstrators stubbornly fought against the fascist police cracking down on them with water cannons.

The GNP could not but cancel the NA full-dress meeting by their strong protest.

That evening there was a candlelight rally against the conclusion of the FTA.

Earlier on Wednesday, popular masses held a similar rally outside the NA building.
