Pyongyang, November 5 (KCNA) -- Thongil, a newspaper published by Koreans residing in Uzbekistan, carried an article titled "North-South Relations and By Our National Itself" on Oct. 27.

The improved north-south relations would have been unthinkable without national reconciliation and unity, national reunification and prosperity, the article said, adding:

No outsiders can divide and stamp out the Korean nation which was formed and developed through a long history.

The north and the south brought about an epochal phase in improving the bilateral relations with the publication of the historic June 15 joint declaration and declared their willingness to independently solve the issue of reunification by the Korean nation itself.

"By our nation itself" is the basic spirit and the hard core of the June 15 joint declaration, a landmark of national reunification.

All the Koreans should carry through the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
