Beijing, November 3 (KCNA) -- Unmanned spacecraft Shenzhou-8 docked with space lab module Tiangong-1 early Thursday in China, flying the space.

Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, sent a congratulatory message over the first successful docking of spacecraft that day.

The message hoped that all the participants in researches and test would make redoubled efforts and achieve unity and cooperation by giving full play to the manned aerospace spirit and thus make bigger contributions to opening up a new phase of manned aerospace work of China.
