Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- Officials, labor innovators, scientists and technicians from the Huichon Ryonha General Machinery Plant visited Mangyongdae, birthplace of President Kim Il Sung, on Friday.

They laid bunches of flowers before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of Kim Il Sung, and Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok, his parents, and paid a silent tribute to them.

At the old home of the President the visitors were briefed on his noble revolutionary life and on the patriotic and revolutionary Mangyongdae family.

On the same day they visited the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm and other factories built in the farm area on a modern line.

After being briefed on the fact that the farm has turned into a big fruit production base under the wise leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the visitors commanded a bird's-eye view of farm fields with fruit trees standing in rows, orderly roads and modern dwelling houses.

They also toured the Taedonggang Pig Farm, Taedonggang Terrapin Farm, Taedonggang Net-weaving Factory and the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Processing Factory.
