Moscow, October 31 (KCNA) -- The speaker of the State Duma of Russia, Boris Gryzlov, on October 26 stressed the importance of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

He expressed his view that the protocol signed in 2010 in line with the CSTO charter will take effect on the basis of complete legality at its parliamentary meeting in 2012.

Cooperation among the member nations is very important in struggle with terrorism, illegal immigration and drug trafficking and CSTO can properly cope with all these threats, he added.
