Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Poland on Oct. 21 in commemoration of the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Displayed at its venue were works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, photos on their exploits and publications on the DPRK.

Attending it were personages of the Polish preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung, the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association and its branches and the Opatow County Office and popular masses.

The ambassador and officials of the DPRK embassy in Warsaw were present on invitation.

Slaboy January Guzowski, chairman of the C.C., Poland-Korea Association, praised Kim Il Sung as a genuine people's statesman who devoted all his life to the dignity of the nation and prosperity of the country.

That's why the Korean people are holding him in high esteem as the eternal President of the DPRK while invariably carrying forward his idea and intentions.

The secretary general of the Association and other speakers said that thanks to the prominent leaders the Korean people could always emerge victorious with the most correct idea and line.

The modern history of the DPRK would have been unthinkable without the august name of the President, they stressed.

Poland, too, is associated with sacred revolutionary activities of the President, they said, confirming that the friendship between the peoples of Poland and the DPRK would last forever.
