Beijing, October 27 (KCNA) -- A senior Chinese official called for launching a campaign for studying and introducing the spirit of the 6th Plenary Session of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Speaking at a meeting held in Beijing on Tuesday, Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said it is important to let the people know well about the guiding idea, major policy and requirement for the development of the cultural reform, strategic target for the building of a socialist cultural power and tasks to be fulfilled by 2020.

Therefore, all cadres and masses should be encouraged to turn out in the effort for opening up a new phase of cultural construction with much enthusiasm and greeting the 18th CPC Congress with great achievements, he added.
