Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim acquainted himself with the work of the Academy of Agricultural Science on the spot on Tuesday.

He learned about the achievements made by scientists and technicians of the academy who have made contributions to the development of agriculture by working hard to push back the frontiers of the latest science and technology, true to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy of attaching importance to science and technology.

He stressed the importance of the agricultural scientific research in carrying out the instructions of General Secretary Kim Jong Il on developing high-yielding seeds suited to the climate and soil of the country.
