Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- Wang Qun, Chinese disarmament ambassador, urged the international community to make effort to prevent space militarization, a media report said.

Speaking at the recently held UN General Assembly meeting, Wang said that to ensure a peaceful use of space and prevent space militarization and arms race is what conforms with common interests of all nations and what they should be jointly responsible for.

With the danger of space militarization and arms race steadily getting serious, indefinite factors related to the space security are increasing, the ambassador said.

Therefore the international community should make a new international legal document for preventing space militarization through talks as soon as possible, Wang added.
