Vietnamese Delegation Feted

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Thursday gave a reception in honor of the visiting delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel.

Present there on invitation were the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Hoang Binh Quan, chairman of the Commission for External Affairs of the Party Central Committee, Le Quang Ba, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy here.

Secretary Kim Yong Il and officials of the Central Committee of the WPK were also present.

Kim Yong Il said the traditional bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation are growing stronger under the deep care of the top leaders of the two parties and the two countries.

The DPRK and Vietnam are closely linked in the road of common struggle for socialism against imperialism, he noted, adding that the DPRK would make efforts to develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam in the future, too.

Hoang Binh Quan said that the Vietnamese party, government and people always remember the support given by the party, government and people of the DPRK to the struggle for national liberation, realization of the reunification cause and socialist construction in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese party, government and people will make every effort to further develop the friendly relations between the two countries, he added.
