Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday called on Israel to lift its blockade on the Gaza Strip at a press conference.

The blockade on Gaza "is a collective punishment and it is illegal in the international law," Abbas added.

Israel should remove the blockade without hesitation, he stressed.
