S. Korea Urged to Take Affirmative Attitude in Gas Supply Project

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Georgy Toloraya, director of the Economy Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said Russia is attaching great importance to supplying its gas and electricity to south Korea through the DPRK and linking railways, according to Voice of Russia.

The director said, "I hope that through the Khasan-Rajin trial train service south Korea will know Russia has seriously tackled to this work and the DPRK is still supporting it."

"If south Korea takes part in the work with an affirmative attitude toward it like the DPRK, I think it will be conductive to consolidating stability of the Korean peninsula and improving the north-south relations substantially," the director added.
