Moscow, October 16 (KCNA) -- Russia is reinforcing armed forces on Kuril islands.

The Russian newspaper Rossiskaya Gazeta Thursday reported high-performance armored vehicles had been transferred to Kurils.

Mobile missile complexes would also be deployed on Kurils to cover the ground troops and protect the islands from naval attacks, the newspaper said.
