Beijing, October 16 (KCNA) -- Spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Liu Weimin Thursday said the country would render much more assistance to the Horn of Africa.

Liu said the international community was deeply concerned about the famine caused by a severe drought in the region.

China already announced that it would offer 443.2 million RMB.Y worth of food and cash to the drought-plagued nations, Liu added.
