"Occupy Wall Street" Demo Goes Worldwide

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- The demonstration, erupted in the United States against the exploitation and oppression by capital, is rapidly spreading all over the world.

On October 15 "Occupy Wall Street" demos took place all at once in more than 1500 cities in 80 odd countries and regions.

Protesters blamed the financial crisis now sweeping Europe mainly on the greedy financial capitalists and corrupt politicians.

In Rome of Italy hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets, shouting slogan "Occupy Wall Street". This created confusion, leaving service facilities closed and subway traffic stopped.

In Berlin of Germany tens of thousands of protesters took demonstration, marching toward the Chancellor's Office.

In Tokyo of Japan protesters marched along streets, carrying placards with such letters as "Occupy Tokyo" and "End to poverty". Shout "Show that society changes if the poor lift up their voice" was heard from among the demonstrators.

In Sydney, Melbourne and other major cities of Australia thousands of people took part in the Occupy Wall Street demonstration.

Emergency alert was issued in major cities of various countries due to those demos and there were clashes between the police and protesters.

Analysts say that this situation sweeping the world, an eruption of the wrath on the greed of capital and economic inequality, shows the reality of the capitalist system put in peril.
