Moscow, October 16 (KCNA) -- Russia is speeding up the development of new generation destroyer.

According to a recent report by radio Voice of Russia, this type of destroyer will be an all-purpose warship that is able to substitute for big antisubmarine destroyer, missile cruiser and other ships.

The destroyer, to be equipped with various types of missiles, torpedoes and new generation anti-aircraft means, will excel the present type of destroyer and missile cruiser in striking and anti-aircraft capabilities, the radio said.
