Important Days of DPRK Marked in Various Countries

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Seminars, book and photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Russia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Tanzania and India between October 4 and 9 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

Displayed in their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and books and photos introducing their immortal exploits and Songun Korea.

Participants of the shows watched Korean films "The Country Shining with Arms of Mt. Paektu" and "The Tower of the Juche Idea".

The chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and other speakers noted that the Korean people under the leadership of Kim Jong Il have worked world-startling miracles in socialist construction, victoriously overcoming every trial of history and hardships.

The WPK is always displaying its dignity as ever-victorious party, they said, adding its secret lies in that the Party is guided by the Juche idea and the unity and cohesion of the whole party has been achieved.

The secretary general of the Pakistan Association for Self-Reliance Studies and others elaborated on the significance of the foundation of the WPK and its feats and praised the exploits of Kim Jong Il developing it into a powerful party.

They also noted that the whole party has been modeled on the Juche idea and harmonious whole between the party and the people achieved thanks to the Songun politics.

The chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups said that the heroic struggle of the Korean people winning admiration of the world people is the result of the correct leadership of the WPK.

The chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il stressed that only victory and glory are always in store for the WPK and the Korean people advancing under the banner of Songun.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events in Pakistan and India.
