Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday reiterated his support for Palestine's bid for full UN membership during a meeting with the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

He criticized the United States for its attempt to veto Palestine's statehood application at the UN Security Council.

"To support the Palestinian cause is to declare peace," Chavez said.
