DIU, Origin of Single-hearted Unity

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- On October 17, Juche 15 (1926), President Kim Il Sung organized the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) to start the Korean revolution.

DIU was a vanguard organization which provided the tradition of unity based on one and the same ideology.

Many DIU members, including Kim Hyok, Cha Kwang Su and Choe Chang Gol, opened up a new history of unity around the President.

Confidence in the invincibility of the idea and cause of the President and the steadfast will to devotedly defend him were the main features of the DIU members and the cornerstone of their single-minded unity as well.

Carrying forward the tradition of unity, established by the first generation of the revolution, the DIU members, the Workers' Party of Korea has won victory after victory in the protracted revolution.

With the leader, the Party and the masses in a perfect harmony, the DPRK has turned into a strong country, independent in politics, self-sufficient in the economy and self-reliant in defense.

Based on their close unity, which is mightier than nukes, the Korean people are frustrating the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle their social system and building a thriving nation.

The DIU anniversary serves as an occasion for the Korean people to renew their determination to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, rallied closely around leader Kim Jong Il.
