Anniversary of WPK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between Oct. 1 and 3 on the 66th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea. They included meetings, round-table talks, lectures, Korean book and photo exhibitions and film shows in India, Democratic Congo and Egypt.

On display in the venues of the events were works of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, photos showing their revolutionary exploits and books and pictures introducing the vitality of Songun politics of the WPK.

The participants in the film shows watched "Arms of Korea" and other Korean films.

Speakers at the meeting and lecture in India referred to the fact that the WPK has exerted positive efforts to provide the people with a happy life at all times since its founding, guided by the Juche idea.

By holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as its General Secretary the WPK has been able to turn itself into an ever-victorious iron-willed party absolutely supported and trusted by the people, they stressed.

They expressed confidence that the WPK would steadily advance along the road of the revolutionary cause of Juche started by the President and surely reap good fruits in the struggle to provide the Korean people with a happy life.

The vice-chairman of the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Democratic Congo in a lecture praised Kim Jong Il for making immortal contributions to consolidating and developing the traditional DPRK-Russia and DPRK-China relations of friendship by paying visits to the Siberian and Far Eastern regions of Russia and Northeast China.
