S. Korean Civic and Public Organizations Urge U.S. to Make Apology for GIs' Crimes

Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Personages of civic and public organizations of south Korea at a press conference outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Oct. 11 condemned the crimes committed by the U.S. imperialist aggression forces in south Korea.

Speakers said GIs' crimes greatly hurt the south Koreans.

GIs' crimes remain unabated as the criminals end up with impunity under the south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces Agreement" (SOFA), they deplored.

They urged the U.S. president to apologize before the south Koreans for the recent case and opt for revising the shackling SOFA.

At the end of the conference they thrust a protest letter signed by 1,000 representatives of the organizations to the U.S. embassy.
