Tehran, October 13 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for Iran's Foreign Ministry rejected Tuesday the U.S. accusations that the Islamic Republic had plotted to assassin the Saudi ambassador to Washington, the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

The U.S. accusations are "incorrect" and "prefabricated scenario", the spokesman said, adding that such kinds of allegations are "ridiculous shows" aimed at creating discord among the regional countries.

Such claims will not affect the public opinion, concluded the spokesman.
