West Interrupts Russia-DPRK Friendship: Internet News

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Russia's internet news Inforos denounced the West for interrupting Russia-DPRK friendship.

The fresh development of the friendly relationship between Moscow and Pyongyang has become pronounced this year, steadily drawing attention of world mass media along with some unexpected interpretations, Inforos said, adding:

Main issues discussed at the Russia-DPRK summit talks in Ulan-Ude in August were to coordinate the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and lay a gas pipeline through DPRK from Russia.

Strange to say, some people of Japan and south Korea expressed their dissatisfaction and misgivings at the gas pipeline plan agreed at the Ulan-Ude talks. The plan containing a multipartite economic cooperation idea has been treated by them as a problem complicating the prospect of the regional cooperation.

This year Russia has affirmed that it does not support the policy of isolating DPRK but opposes extended interpretation and application of sanctions sponsored by the UN Security Council. It also considers that such sanctions should not affect civilian economic sectors of the country.

Moscow, out of its desire to be integrated into the East Asia cooperation process, has turned its face to its traditional partner.

This makes the West's intention to inveigle Russia and China into the anti-DPRK alliance illogical.
