West's Hope for Resumption of Six-party Talks Is Hypocritical

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Russia's Internet news Inforos analyzed the West's attitude towards the six-party talks, saying:

A main agenda item of the Russia-DPRK summit meeting in Ulan-Ude in August was to coordinate the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula. The latter voiced its willingness to return to the six-party talks and make effort for an early resumption of the talks without precondition.

But some parties to the talks took an unexpected reaction to the meeting, stirring up a different view.

The United States and south Korea remain unchanged in their attitude toward the prospect of the resumption of the six-party talks. They persist in their worn-out demand concerning the implementation of preconditions. For example, south Korean diplomats called for the implementation of preconditions again at the talks held with the north side in Beijing some time ago. It is self-evident that such contacts cannot be helpful to the resumption of the talks.

The West's claim that it hopes for an early reopening of the six-party talks is just an empty talk. In actuality, the West apparently seeks overturning the DPRK.

This year Russia has affirmed that it does not support the policy of isolating the DPRK.
