Random Use of Foreign Languages in South Korea Deplored

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- A representative of the south Korean Language Association Saturday deplored the random use of foreign languages in south Korea in a press interview.

He said street signboards, company names and even the titles of the official institutions are called in foreign languages.

The people with the world's best language refuse to use their own language, he said, adding:

It has become social trend in south Korea to use the combination of Chinese and English and speak in a foreign way.

The authorities have failed to take measures to stop the usage of foreign languages while touting "globalization".

The Korean alphabets are admitted to be the best by the world.
