Tehran, October 10 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Iran on October 7 accused the U.S. police of its crackdown on demonstrations in the U.S.

The U.S. police cracked down on the people who were holding peaceful demonstrations over the past couple of weeks against unfair economic policies of the authorities, the spokesman said.

The suppression of the public protests in different U.S. cities by the country's police shows that the U.S. statesmen do not tolerate peaceful demonstrations in their country, he noted.
