Performances Celebrate WPK Anniversary

Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- Performances were given at the central and local theatres to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Mansudae Art Troupe and the State Folk Art Troupe gave concerts at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theatre and the orchestra of the Yun I Sang Music Institute at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall in the city.

Put on the stages were colorful numbers including female solo "We Always Remember All Sorts of Hardships Undergone by the Leader", violin and orchestra "Oh, We Yearn for" and orchestra "Our General Is the Best".

The performers enthusiastically sang of the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung, founder and builder of the WPK, and general secretary Kim Jong Il who developed the party into the guide of the Songun revolution.

The light comedy "Echo of Mountain", winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, was given at the National Theatre.

The performers impressively showed the noble spiritual world and the indomitable fighting traits of the people in the Chollima era who turned the great plan of the party into a reality.

A performance given at the Moranbong Circus Theatre, too, gave optimism and joy to the citizens spending the meaningful holiday.

There were also performances at the local theatres including those in South Phyongan Province, North Hamgyong Province and Kangwon Province.

They vividly showed the iron faith and will of the Korean people to vehemently advance to the bright future under the leadership of the great party.
