Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The 3rd plenary session of the 11th Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) opened in Hanoi on Thursday.

The plenary session will review the country's development plans and some of the party regulations.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in his opening speech said that reviewing the country's socio-economic development plans is one of the party's regular works.

The plenum continues till Oct. 10.
