Autumn Land Management Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The autumn campaign for land management is brisk in the DPRK.

Different parts of the DPRK are directing efforts to sprucing up areas around railroads.

North Hamgyong Province finished the overhauling of public buildings and dwelling houses and their fences around railroads in a short span of time and is effectively pushing forward the work for turning areas around railroads into woodland.

A fence project has been wound up in the areas around the main railroads in Pyongyang.

The improvement of roads is making rapid progress.

A work is now under way in North Phyongan Province to restore the roads damaged by flood to their original state and improve all other roads. Roads extending more than 110 kilometers have been improved in Kujang County. The road leading to Yaksandongdae was paved and bridges and observation platforms in various places constructed or the existing ones repaired in Nyongbyon County.

The road extending dozens of kilometers was repaired in Popdong County, Kangwon Province.

Projects for improving embankments made rapid progress in North Hwanghae and South Hamgyong provinces.

The work for sprucing up cities and villages as required by the Songun era are making brisk headway in the period of the campaign.

The work for facelifting Pyongyang includes tile-setting of public buildings, iron-fence setup, paving roads with color footway blocks.

The plan for overhauling dwelling houses has been wound up earlier than scheduled in Jagang and South Hwanghae provinces.

The work to secure seeds of trees of good species is going on as a mass movement.
