Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Casualties are expanding in Thailand due to flood.

The flood caused by heavy rains since July has so far left 206 persons dead. 23 provinces are still under water.

Typhoons accompanied by heavy rains swept Philippines twice recently, leaving 59 persons dead as of Oct. 3.

Four dikes flooded, inundating several cities and destroying more than 43,000 dwelling houses.

Tropical storm hit Hainan Province, China on October 5, causing damage.

144,800 inhabitants were evacuated in 12 cities and counties, many dwelling houses pulled down and 39,954 hectares of farmlands wasted.
