Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Brazil is directing efforts to improving the standard of people's living by eradicating poverty and decreasing unemployment rate.

The government is carrying out the "Brazil without poverty" social program, aiming to improve the living conditions of inhabitants in the northern Amazon region. 40 million Brazilians have left poverty behind to join the middle class during the last eight years thanks to the government's efforts. "We have the lowest unemployment rate in our history," said Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
