WPK's Anniversary Marked in Various Countries

Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- A seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show were held in India and lectures given in Democratic Congo and Guinea on Sept. 29 and 30 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Displayed at the exhibition hall were books and photos on the undying feats President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il performed in founding and strengthening the WPK and the vitality of the Songun politics.

Wipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, said that the WPK has demonstrated its might in the international community as the party which has always emerged victorious since its founding.

The secret of steady victories won by the WPK lies in that it enjoys absolute support and trust of the popular masses, he noted.

The WPK has enforced such popular policies as free medical care and free education systems and pursued the benevolent politics, all-embracing politics of taking care of all people's destiny and future in a responsible manner, he stressed.

Stanislas Kabemba, vice-chairman of the Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Democratic Congo, said that Kim Jong Il has developed the WPK into an ever-victorious and iron-willed party and a guiding force of the revolution and construction.

Banou Keita, chairman of the Guinea-Korea Friendship Association, noted that the WPK is the party which created the mode of benevolent politics for the first time in history and achieved single-minded unity by applying it.

A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at an event in India.
