Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The deputy spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea on Sept. 30 released a commentary denouncing the south Korean authorities for dodging the punishment of the GI criminal.

The commentary charged that the authorities are sidestepping the punishment of the American soldier who committed sexual assault against south Korean girl student under the pretence of the "Status of Forces Agreement" between south Korea and the U.S.

Herein lies one of the root causes of the ceaseless GIs crimes, it held, adding: The unequal "SOFA" should be revised to prevent the GI crimes.

The authorities will surely face strong candlelight resistance if they turn down the demand of the people, it warned.
