Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- A large-scale rally took place in Manchester on October 2 to protest against the government's austerity measures.

Attending the rally organized by trade unions were about 35,000 people from all walks of life.

The protesters denounced the authorities for deteriorating the living of working people by taking austerity measures including wage cuts under the pretext of defusing the economic crisis.
