S. Korean Police Suppression of Students Flayed

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A deputy spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea issued a commentary on Sept. 30 denouncing the puppet authorities for suppression of students demanding the settlement of the registration fee issue.

The commentary said:

The police dispersed students holding a candlelight rally in Chonggye Plaza, Seoul with water cannon and other repressive means. They even took away those students who protested against it.

Students who turned out in the actions, unable to afford the high registration fee, can never become the target of suppression.

The deceptive measure for the registration fee which the present chief executive and the "Grand National Party" are touting will take can never mitigate the pain of students and their parents.

If the "government" continues to subdue the demand for halving the registration fee, it will be hard for it to serve its remaining term in the face of the angered people.
