History of WPK Introduced by Bangladeshi Organizations

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea and the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy issued bulletins on Sept. 28 and 29 to mark the 66th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 85th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

The Institute in an article titled "66th Anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea" referred to the successes made by the Korean people in the revolution and construction under the leadership of the WPK.

The WPK has led the people not only to defend socialism in the worst adversity but also lay a springboard for building a thriving nation, the article said.

The nearly seven decade-long history of the WPK is, in fact, a course of victories and glories in which it brought about epochal changes.

The Group for the Study of the Songun Policy said in an article titled "The Workers' Party of Korea and People's Trust in It":

President Kim Il Sung formed the DIU, the historical roots of the WPK, on October 17, 1926.

On this basis he clarified a line of building a popular party which struck its roots deep among the broad masses of people.

The WPK has creditably fulfilled its mission and duty as a mass party.

It built a socialist state centered on the popular masses under the slogan of "We Serve the People!"

The WPK enjoys absolute support and trust from the people as it has embodied the Juche idea.
