The reporter paid highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung who made sure that King Tangun, known to be a myth for many years, was found out as the real person and his mausoleum was magnificently built. He also extended warm thanks to leader Kim Jong Il for this.

All Koreans are now faced with an important duty to courageously meet the challenges of separatist forces at home and abroad and vigorously advance the cause of independent reunification, he said, adding:

Whoever has the soul of the Tangun nation should turn out in the struggle to frustrate the south Korean conservative ruling forces' moves for confrontation between the north and the south and achieve the reconciliation, unity and reunification.

All Koreans should defend and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and usher in a new phase of reunification, he urged.
