Moscow, October 2 (KCNA) -- Forest fire occurred in Bratsk, Irkutsk Region of Russia on Sept. 30, causing damage.

Forest fire that broke out in 7 places burnt 352.5 hectares of forests as of October 1.

The state of emergency was declared in the afflicted area and fire fighting is now going on.
