DPRK Praised for Serving People--Lao Newspaper

Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- The Sept. 1-15th issue of Lao newspaper Heng Ngan carried special write-ups with a photo of President Kim Il Sung to mark the 63rd anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

In an article titled "A Country of People", the paper said:

In the DPRK all the lines and policies are adopted reflecting the ideas and demand of the people and they are put into practice to meet their interests.

It was the cherished opinion of the President that comprehensive systematization of desire and wishes of the people leads to an idea as well as the line and policy.

Socialist construction for realizing the people's desire for a wealthy life with no more to desire in the world has made headway in the DPRK under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The DPRK government provides the people with conditions for exercising their freedom and rights and legally guarantees them.

It makes persevering efforts to protect the interests of the people and steadily improve their material and cultural life.

The tax system had already been completely abolished in the DPRK. The state provides dwelling houses to the working people free of charge as well as the universal free medical service and 11-year compulsory free education systems.

The DPRK, a country of people, will always prosper as it enjoys their absolute support and trust.
