Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- The Nepalese newspaper Charcha on Sept. 26 carried a special write-up headlined "The 85th Anniversary of the Formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU)" with photos of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Noting that the President formed the DIU, the first revolutionary vanguard organization of a new type in Korea with young communists of new generation, the paper introduced the action programme of the DIU which scientifically clarified the immediate duty and final goal of the Korean revolution and the way of implementing them.

The paper said that the Korean revolution started from the DIU under the wise leadership of the President created the history of victory under the uplifted banner of independence, Songun and unity for 85 years.

Kim Jong Il has brilliantly carried forward the President's cause, strengthening and developing the Workers' Party of Korea into a Juche-oriented revolutionary party which inherited the tradition of the glorious DIU, the paper noted.

The President worked all his heart and soul to realize the unity and cohesion of the ranks based on comradeship during the whole period of leading the Korean revolution, it added.

Saying that Kim Jong Il turned the DPRK into a big socialist family where all the people are single-mindedly united true to the idea and will of the President, the paper stressed only victory and glory are in store for socialist Korea, dignified with independence, strong in Songun and invincible with single-minded unity.
