Thorough Investigation into Corruption and Irregularities Called for

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A deputy spokesman for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea issued a commentary on Sept. 27 in protest against the puppet Prosecution which insincerely approached the investigation into corruption and irregularities of the privileged circles.

The commentary accused the Prosecution of not pushing forward the investigation into corruption and irregularities that had been disclosed among those close to the present chief executive.

It went on:

The Prosecution mobilized a powerful group to investigate members of opposition parties and progressive educationists. Nevertheless, it is evading the investigation into the recent corruption and irregularities.

If the Prosecution hushes up the corruption cases in which even the chief executive's cousin is involved, it would touch off the protest of the people.

The commentary urged the Prosecution to thoroughly investigate the truth behind the graft cases and sternly punish those responsible.
